Deirdre was born in Culdaff and studied painting in the College of Art, Belfast. Her work is derived from her surroundings in the Northwest and in particular the area around Culdaff where she has a studio. She is inspired by emotive power of seasonal change on the landscapeand of the influence of people, past and present.
